Our thuddiest toy to date, Bunny beaters are leather bats that pack a punch with their own weight. On average they are 1.5 pounds. For that deep impact feel, we wrap an oak handle with bull hide and then cover it with rabbit fur for a soft cool down or sensation play bonus. The handle is finished with lambskin and stitched with a baseball stitch.

A note on fur: Rabbits are farmed for their meat just like cows, lambs, bison, and any other leather we use in the studio. Rabbit fur is not a fur first industry and meat rabbits are often raised on homesteads. As such, just like other bi-product hides, rabbit furs can vary in finish such as size, thickness of fur, bald spots, and cowlicks.
