The falls of this flogger are made with a maroon oil-tan leather. I cut the falls wide on this flogger so you experience mostly thud from the leather. This flogger is also great for people who like their toys to develop character through play. oil-tan leather already comes with marks and abrasions from the life that the animal lived. It's an authentic leather that isn't sanded down to look uniform. Because it is impregnated with oil, it's also very low maintenance. As you use it, the oil falls will change color due to the oil shifting around in the leather. If you give the red falls a little pinch, you'll see them turn a lighter red, and then you can buff it to redistribute the oil.

This flogger features a brown python handle. The handle is counter- balanced and hand stitched, and has been sealed with an matte acrylic coating.

I would recommend this for a scene where you want a good middle-of-the-road flogger that extends playtime, with the ability to provide a heavy hit if begged for.

Special considerations:

Snake skin is an exotic hide. Even with the acrylic coating, if you brush the scales backwards, they will eventually flake off. Care should be taken when handling these like removing jewelry that can scratch the hides. They can be damaged by carelessness. They are made to play and are built to be used, but consider them a tool AND an art piece.

Handle: Angelus Reptile & Exotic Skin Cleaner & Conditioner. Lightly clean with a soft cloth in the direction of the scales.
Falls and knots: Generally, oil tanned leather is pretty low maintenance, but Angelus easy care suede cleaner can be used on the top grain and nap side without making the nap gunky.
